In my practice I explore composition, colour and surface construction. I create striking and intricate mix media collage work in which I aim to illustrate city atmospheres. As an embroiderer, I have a very time consuming and hands-on approach to producing work. I am inspired by the everyday and the unexpected.
After graduating from BA Embroidery in 2013 (Manchester School of Art), I now work as an events coordinator, graphic designer and maker based in the North West. I volunteer for a small community group named ArtAnon where I organise and facilitate creative workshops to members of the public and existing services throughout Manchester. I am also one fifth of arts collective, Juncture, a handful of embroiderers who focus on exploring collaborations and developing group events.
